The Witch 2015
A truly horrifying tale of a Puritan family being haunted by the supernatural. I'm shocked this has been such a hit at the festival - not because it's bad (it's great) - but because nothing screams crowd pleaser quite like a period set horror film in Old English. If there's one fault to the movie it's it takes a little while to get going. But once it does it doesn't look back. And I've never heard an audience screech as many times as I did in the last 30 minutes or so.
