I shouldn’t have gone to watch this movie because I just cannot get around the tone in which it’s told. These kinds of films make me feel nothing. I hate exaggerated characters that only yell. I’m not into satire, it doesn’t do anything for me. It’s exhausting, unfunny and unsatisfying. However, I know that many love films such as these and to that I say great! For them I know it’s a hit, great satirical performances, political commentary (although nothing groundbreaking, no new angle, honestly it was disappointing anyway), technically well made.

She can’t drive. She definitely can’t dance. But the girl can run! I’ll give her that! And she was running everywhere…wouldn’t you? If you could run like that?

One star for it being THAT BAD that it actually became one star worths of entertaining. Someone should have shown me this when I was twelve smh

The film was confused and shallow. What is this? A cautionary tale? A mockery? It wanted to be Pretty Woman, then it wanted to be Fargo, then it wanted to be a Safdie film and then idek what the hell that drawn out ending was Jesus Christ way to throw your own work on the floor and step on it. Too long, no clear message, no character depth and too much senseless screaming and swearing undercutting any integrity the film…

This was my kinda movie, it had heart. I love any film that displays the beauty of Americas landscapes! (even if the film was shot in France, Spain and Romania🤷🏽‍♀️)
The performances were great, I watched it for Jake Gyllenhaal but John C. Riley captured my heart in this one 🏹
