really cool to see an early and historic use of plot twist (a few times over at that). really funny and character driven stuff and just a plain good ol’ time.
absolutely loved the no spoiler request over the credits. film twitter could take a memo from them!
some good body horror bits but the sci fi fell flat for me. with the emotional crux of the film falling on Riya I wanted to connect with her but ultimately didn’t because of a script more concerned with setting up plot twists and meta reveals that ultimately cave in on themselves. (black hole joke anyone?)
