    Akira is a film with no rival. Nothing is quite like it. The Taika Waititi remake which has been in development hell for over a decade will be Akira in name only assuming it ever sees the light of day.     Torn between 3.5 and 4 for this one so this score may go up in the coming days. I feel similarly about I Live in Fear to Drunken Angel; not the most complex thing ever but a very firmly made and solid film.
