Now I know how to do the chicken walk.

What is perhaps my favorite love letter from Lynch! This was just as disturbing, strange, ugly, mysterious, dreamy, and hilarious as Mulholland Drive. It’s also more straightforward than what I was expecting the first time I’d seen this, so I’m happy that there’s still some locked doors that I could attempt to open even if I don’t feel the need to. As much as I adore that ride from 2001, I’m still a sucker for Blue Velvet’s small town mystery compared to Mulholland Drive’s Hollywood puzzle. Love this movie! Thank you David Lynch.

I was cautiously optimistic coming into this film and while I didn’t find it that “intellectually stimulating,” I still agree with a lot of the well earned technical praises.

The film is simply monumental, from the performances to the scenery and the music throughout, guided by a camera that nurtures and dizzies the ambition for an immovable legacy. WATCHING OPPENHEIMER FELT LIKE I WAS STUCK IN A ROOM WITH A TICKING BOMB

“Mr. President... I feel that I have blood on my hands.”

This is probably the scariest film in Christopher Nolan's filmography. A mature addition that had an intense score, intriguing editing, incredible sound design, mesmerizing effects, bold visuals, standout performances from Cillian Murphy & Robert Downey Jr., & a haunting atmosphere that sent chills down my spine.

    BARBIE WAS A BLAST

“Why didn't Barbie tell me about patriarchy? Which, to my understanding, is where men & horses run everything.”

Considering that this was written by Gerwig & Baumbach I was not surprised at all by how much fun I had. This was absolutely funny, thoughtful, creative, bold, (the right kind of) edgy, quotable, & colorful! I adored the sparkling production design, the pretty visuals, the vibrant characters, & the hilarious performances from Margot Robbie & Ryan Gosling.

Some scenes & jokes did go…
