  once you get past the first 40 minutes of grace being a manipulative creep, you can kind of appreciate her headstrong behavior. taking back her life through love, work, family, in a new punk/glam aesthetic (seriously better clothes than most plus size styles now imo), it's not that she's super likeable…

  stylistically bland. just because something is pitiful doesn't make it compelling, just situational-ly interesting as the topic carries the weight, while the characters remain bare. it's like the first and last episode of a drama, clamped together
