I read the description of this movie on my English professor’s class website and just had to watch it. A movie about vampires and philosophy. As a huge fan of philosophy, that’s all that needed to be said to get me interested, the fact that Christopher Walken is in it was also a huge plus. The Thing (1982) is, in my opinion, one of the greatest movies ever in its genre. Seriously, this movie, is just… perfect. It’s filled with action, suspense, drama, grotesque special effects, memorable characters, great acting. I could watch and rewatch this movie over and over again, and I have! I initially saw Shaun of the Dead shortly after its release on DVD in late 2004. I instantly fell in love with it and became obsessed with anything that Simon Pegg and Nick Frost worked on together, namely Hot Fuzz, and one of my favorite movies of all time, The World’s End. The World’s End had several similar themes as Shaun of the Dead, mainly the cost of refusing to grow up and move on.…

The Matrix is absolutely one of my favorite all-time movies ever. I’ve watched and re-watched this movie multiple times and I’m just absolutely stunned each time, primarily by the writing, the concept, the action, and now 24 years later (has it been that freaking long, really?) nostalgia.
