anyways this was v fun. Much like Bong Joon Ho’s other English language movies it is not quite as impactful as his other material but this was non stop fun and all the trailers before it have made me realize it’s the only good thing in cinemas in the next few months
YOU JUST MISUNDERSTOOD THE BRUTALIST!1!1! When the reality is, the brutalist is easy to get, after all it tries painfully hard to drive its point across in its horrendously bad second act. Underwritten characters left and right in a 3H+ movie? C’mon now. Impeccable score, cinematography, and acting.. but take away that layer of polish and the brutalist is clunky and misguided, even before that one scene in the second act BUT especially after it. And screw everyone for hyping me up comparing this character to Lydia Tár in how real it is.. Lydia sweetie
