I really wish anthropologists used Occam's Razor more often. For the first half, they kept saying that Naledi carried their dead, based on one single datapoint/grave. An explanation that would make less assumptions and still fit the data that was presented at that time could've been "guy fell down the chute, so we buried him there so it doesn't stink up the whole cave".
