This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
What's most compelling about Conclave is how dynamic its approach to its subject was. The film doesn't seem to be way too interested in critiquing or defending Catholicism, and instead opts to be in conversation with it. While all the vape-hits and backstabbing give the film a certain charm, it explores the politics of the church in a way that asks questions more than it gives answers.
