+ Some lovely improv moments from the Queens
- Oy. Where to begin. We venture (and I use that word lightly) into the South Asian queer community through the lens of the white, cis male. The comedy felt placed and much of it was flat. Exploration of culture and queerness felt so surface level, that the movie ultimately ends up as a generic romance.

+ Another triumph! Yargos builds a gorgeous world filled with the ludicrous which is undercut by the depressing existence women face in it. Amazing performances throughout, especially Emma Stone. And the fashion!!!! Gorge.
- I felt it could have been 20/30minutes tighter: Bella’s journey lacked momentum at times.

The Book of Clarence 2023
+ An epic soundtrack that felt like a character itself. The comedy felt appropriately light, silly and cheesy. It was bold and bodacious. A great cast with fun performances throughout.
- I never understood why Clarence did most of things he did throughout, so I didn’t buy his turning point. An excessively long runtime for what should have been a simple story.
