La La Land is the perfect example to describe Damien Chazelle's cinematography: the colors studied and all correlated, the cuts that are accompanied, at the main points of the film, by subtitles. From a screenplay and story point of view I think it's quite simple, a love story that didn't work out even though the protagonists will still love each other forever. I'm not a big fan of musicals, but this one wasn't difficult to watch and I think it's an element that underlines the skill of the director.

    Inside Out 2

    ★★★

I would start from the fact that the film is better than the latest Disney and Pixar films, but in my opinion it is a bit overrated. The idea of anxiety is quite interesting, especially the anxiety attack part. I really hate the end of the usual Disney do-goodism, where with the "power of friendship" you can win everything in life. They destroyed all the pathos and credibility of the product, the film became infantile and not for a universal, adult audience.

It's one of my comfort and favourite movies. Hitchcock is a master of suspense. I loved the idea of filming all the movie only in the apartment and the garden. It's fantastic the Hitchcock's skill to make people understand the murder without ever showing the crime scene.

    Pearl Harbor

    ★½

This movie made you think that war is a video game. The story if told better could be a good idea, but the image of something fake throughout the film is horrible. It shouldn't be worthy of being called a war film.
