  Wow does this movie have a lot going for it. I still don’t think I’m entirely sold on Shane Black’s style but this is by far the most I’ve been locked in. Gosling and Crowe are phenomenal. Modern day Lethal Weapon except one of them isn’t an anti-semite. Lots of great faces in this movie. A lot of bold choices in the writing that entirely pay off. Just a lot of fun and enough pathos to be more than an action flick.

  Suicide Squad 2016

  My Hulu subscription now includes live tv which means the certain movies are available now. And with that trailer for the new Suicide Squad movie I thought I’d check this out. The problem is that live tv includes commercials you can’t skip. The movie wasn’t good but was at least watchable except for when J***r was on screen. And then a scene with him goes into a commercial and I cannot sit through 2 minutes of commercials just to see more douchebag cosplay.

  Muppet Treasure Island 1996

  I had never realized how much the Henson company nails character design. Every villain feels villainous without being scary, which was essential for baby Collin. Songs are fun and goofy, makes good use of their existing characters and adds some fun new ones. Curry is always good but here he is excellent! Bless the Muppets in these dark days.
