I feel like Tom Hardy refused to water down venom for the Mouse Machine™️ by killing him off which honestly I am so in love with him for that, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it hindered the production of this movie.

Love the subplot of Eddie Brock desperately needing shoes and losing them, venom really just trying to live his best life, and always a pleasure to see Ms Chen.

Bummer about almost everything else. At least Tom Hardy…

Genuinely not made for everyone but definitely made for me. You’ve got domestic troubles, pride parties, and in my opinion the theme of the movie is negotiation and consent! Also love!!! So much love in all forms!!!

“Who is the target audience for this movie?” critics ask. Only then Serkis points down to the sewers and you can hear the distant cheers of the tumblr rats.

Anyways, the romcom we needed and received 🥰

Hearwrenching. I couldn’t cry because my tears burned dry from blood-boiling rage at the Shittiest Father Of The Century.

Zach Efron really shines in this film, he did a great job and the director absolutely did the job. Aside from the absolute heartbreak of watching children desperately trying to obtain what should be unconditional love from their parents (because also? Fuck their mom), I think this was a good movie.

Would I watch it again? Only if I can watch it on a projector where I can throw darts at the father.

Thank you for the beautiful gains, brotherhood, and breaking the cycle of generational trauma.
