Absolutely fucking unhinged.
However, I can honestly say that this is one of those movies that shaped me as a child. Those batshit crazy mid- and late-80s nightmare-fueled "kids" movies are burned into my soul.
The movie is visually fantastic, as the new cast of Oz freaks are entertaining and full of character. Not the sequel most people wanted, but the one we deserved.

I am really confused why this movie is getting such visceral hate. It is by no means a great movie, but it was fun as hell and felt like an early Amblin movie that I would love as a kid.
Character designs were fun to look at, and the human actors were serviceable. The biggest ding is Chris Pratt just plays the same character in everything. He has officially become oversaturated and typecast as Chris Pratt.
I guess I am in the minority for having fun.
A lot more of Jim Carrey putting in work and less donut lord shenanigans.
The beginning of the movie moves extremely quickly to get the plot going and then the end seem to go too long.
Overall though I had a blast and looking forward to six more of these movies.
A really delightful movie from a competent director I hope we see more of.
I am a giant fan of SNL history and behind-the-scenes stuff more than the show itself. The movie was as chaotic and frenetic as I imagine SNL is every week.
The actors all played their roles perfectly and imitated the actors with uncanny accuracy (Fuck Chevy Chase).
