It’s a hazy mess of female betrayal reminiscent of Thirteen and the tone of Euphoria all in one. Directing is so fun and playful and even dazedly aesthetic for the most part. They really had some gorgeous shots in here and the symbolism was top tier itself. Should’ve been stretched out to be longer to show the consequences that they suffered to make the movie more full. Got a lot of fun familiar faces in this movie that I enjoyed…

a colorful range of camera work and overall direction made this movie fucking top tier. loved most parts especially including all fight scenes and I don't even need to talk about reggie's black widow ass. as for its minor downfalls, some more specific character scenes didn't align as well for me considering the fact that the wife didn't have much character or even play a vital apart aside from being used as a plot device which was a snooze- especially…

for one, the soundtrack is really something else..the tone of the film is instantly sleazy in a romantic sense and is also relentlessly queer and experimental. it’s hazy and vibrant with it’s cinematography. and it’s exactly the type of film I wouldn’t mind watching over and over again and obsessing over for an elongated amount of time. an underrated film and a classic that should be in everyone’s watchlist.

everything about this movie is just so very excellent. gregg araki’s most thought provoking movie and the most intimate & introspective one of his yet. From the character writing to the camera work. the choice of shoe gaze matched the every empty-ended and waning atmosphere of this movie, which proved really effective down to its last few minutes. A movie that does a very good job of exposing the reality that some children and even teens face during early age. doesn’t even try at all to sugarcoat the events that the characters have had to go through and experience, and is raw and unfiltered in its reality.
