Wings of Desire 1987
This is a big ol movie - wish I’d’ve seen Columbo so the Peter Falk portion resonated with me more vibily.
Probably the same on being actually German rather than 1/8 German American - if Berlin was my city I bet I would have felt even more
Nick Cave though - that guy resonates with me - you may not believe in the existence of angels but looking at you I wonder if that’s true.

Oppenheimer 2023
This was a cool movie. Gripping cinematography, excellent performances and just a whole lot of period piece fun. Cillian Murphy's performance is mad good and it's excellently paced and super dense for such a longass movie.
All that said, I think there was a major missed opportunity to build something truly innovative here. Sure, the narrative bounced around a bit, but it maintained a pretty consistent present/flashback structure typical of relatively creative/artistic biopics.
