Me, 15 years old, watching this at 2am on IFC channel alone and in the dark: “is this what all independent movies are like? Why do I feel like I want to take a shower after watching that?”
Glad to revisit this after so many years, knowing that I was wrong—all indie movies are not so hopelessly bleak—although, afterward I did once again feel like taking a hot shower.
