  What Captain Tsubasa needs nowadays is a twisted moral code and controversial theme

  Hits different as I watch this after my second ACL tear

  Has its flaws due to its short play time per episode, but they pale in comparison to its heart and soul, on the basis of sad, realist views towards cruel sides of the game.

  Minute details about football make this feel like written by someone who has played and therefore knows the game. What happens during matches is outrageous but logical.

  Season 1 is gold

  A film consisting of two shots. One of the wittiest shorts I’ve seen in a while. We are set in France basically by two things— colours (red and white in the background, blue on the main character’s suit, reminiscent of colours of the French flag) and a pretty meaningless French sentence uttered by a random waitress who was in the background for 2 secs.

  For the first 99% of the film we see only one person. But what is shown…
