I will forgive and forget the dreary first third of the film because the last 2/3 is a joyous. I acknowledge that jack blacks singing and stage presence is doing a lot of the work there… but so what? I had fun and feel friends were made along the way.

The Outrun 2024
I can’t stop thinking about the scene where they explain that when waves strike land they are absorbed as noise and heat and vibrations. And that we all deal with that thrumming in the ways we know how. It was a beautiful lens (metaphorically and visually!) to understand one woman’s struggle through.
