  A couple who lost faith in humanity have a common passion and find refuge far away from civilization where nature shows its thrilling and dangerous beauty. They document and capture on film gorgeous footage and pictures. Often putting their life at risk. I couldn't help think of Werner Herzog's "Grizzly Man", although, unlike Timothy Treadwell, the Kraffts are very aware of the danger and that someday they'll probably push too far. Curiosity was always too strong however.... and who wouldn't want to go boating on a lake of sulfucic acid given the chance.

  “Who knows what awful acts happened in this basement... now it’s a sauna.. should we have lunch?”

  The last time I saw a documentary so unsettling was with “The Act of Killing”. Layer after layer of atrocities recounted by the victims and sometimes executioners of what went down. Haunting.
