A film in which the characters are stand-ins for either ideas or personality caricatures who then go on to renounce the importance of those very ideas in the end. With the exception of the somewhat movign, although very heavy-handed monologue from Theo's father on the significance of music, (where the movie should have ended), the writing was overly intellectual without saying much at all. It's a movie some will call thought-provoking, but to me it's about a sexually angsty white…
