  very sad story. glad it was covered so her story is being told. i’m also glad this documentary focused on who she was as a person, so many docs fail to humanize or focus on the victim in their own stories. a lot still doesn’t add up, and this husband was definitely a shady figure…. hopefully his accountability comes in some form some day.

  whew I am pissed after watching this one

  this is what happens when we stigmatize drugs, gaslight women, and don’t let children speak for themselves but call it “child protection”

  glad to see a documentary bringing an issue many might not know is prevalent to light 

  super well done too. i cried at the end as maya read her letter and they played her mom’s voice in response.
