jaw fucking dropped.
the way i couldn’t even pick up on the rushing or the dragging of the drums as a music major was so insane, but that’s beside the point. this movie made me feel exhaustion, had me holding my breath, laughing, so many different feelings but all felt so familiar as a musician.
i knew i should have expected Fletcher’s twist at the ending at the JVC performance, but I was absolutely awestruck by the ending performance Andrew gave, and how the film began and ended with the same tempo rising of drum hitting where Fletcher and Andrew met. insane.
