  Rewatched one of my favourite films of all time because reviews on Tiktok were making me angry. Amazing artistry, simple animation and perfect voice acting. It's depraved and disgusting but those qualities don't necessarily make a film bad or unwatchable.

  The story of Midori is a reflection of post war Japan. Maybe the topics seem problematic but they're topical and ever relevant despite the changing times and climate. Media almost always reflects the fears and regrets of the world around…
