I know Soderbergh never wants to get complacent and wants to try something new with every movie, but I’d really love it if he made a few more Le Carre-esque spy thrillers like this. He really knows how to make these scenes sing where it’s just smart people talking in a room, and we don’t know who’s deceiving whom. And this had maybe career-best work from editor Mary Ann Bernard, particularly in that great polygraph scene.

Just like how anytime I watch The Thing, I feel compelled to buy a bottle of J&B scotch the next time I’m at the grocery store (and that’s the only time I ever get it), anytime I watch a Paddington movie, I must soon after buy a jar of marmalade.

This was a lot better than I thought it would be! It doesn't look very good, but this particular nonsense time-travel plot is laid out in a pretty fun and entertaining way. Michael Keaton saying "I'm Batman" and "you wanna get nuts? Let's get nuts" should make me roll my eyes out of my head, but you know what, the man's still got it. I liked it. Maribel Verdú is also terrific, and you can almost buy someone being willing…

That bus fight was something special. I think it’s safe to say that it supplanted the elevator fight from The Winter Soldier for best MCU fight.

Tony Leung as the most sorrowful of all comic book villains was pretty perfect.
