Congratulations to Disney on casting Giancarlo Esposito in their two most major franchises and doing absolutely nothing with him both times
Still liked red hulk throwing large objects though!

While I fear this was the first paddington movie to misuse the intrepid bear’s hard stare, I was pleased to find the wit and core charm of the previous two remained *mostly* intact here
The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
I LOVE how Kiki flies around on her broom, bouncing off of buildings and trees and spinning wildly backwards and shit as she glides. It feels so tactile in the best way, akin to spider man swinging around nyc in the raimi movies. What a jam. So proud of her for being sad sometimes and being ok with that.
The third time benedict started playing the banjo my dad looked at me and said “so, is this banjo called “the dog?’”
Genuinely surprised at how many people thought this was a slog! I was all in from second one. I love a film about a boy and his banjo, I don’t know what to tell ya. I think this is also scoring some serious points for me because it’s one of those deeply thematic yet rather subtle movies that I thought I wouldn’t fully get, but I think I got it and am frankly quite proud of myself
