Cruel that Ethan Hawke didn’t even get nominated for this. Best performance by Hawke. This film brings up some heavy topics on commercial business, religion and climate change without hitting you over the head. Also takes place in Upstate New York… now I know seasonal depression is real.
Cinematography is unreal and I cannot recommend this movie enough. Ending is too good 👍
The academy was probably too scared to even acknowledge this film because of how accurate it ties…

The Pianist 2002
This film is beyond upsetting and yet so powerful. Tough to watch from the start. The biographical war story shows the in and outs of a Jewish musician trying to keep his head above water during the destruction of Warsaw. The Pianist is so devastating but these scenes are important to watch and remind us how awful the Holocaust was. Adrian Body is surreal and his Oscar was so deserving. It is probably one of the more captivating and realistic…
