  Not sure what I expected from the end of this trilogy, but this was just about it. Like the final "twist," but didn't feel wowed by it as a whole.

  Certainly could never reach the heights of the original, but I like that this didn't take itself too seriously. Some great jokes, some stinkers. Felt less like a serious legacy sequel and more like playing in the Beetlejuice sandbox, which is fine with me. There are plenty of loose threads, but I enjoyed it.

  A+ usage of its PG-13 "fuck."

  What an uncomfortable film.

  I'm not sure if it's a New York attitude or what, but there is an openness and almost flippantness to the way this film treats its main subject and his dementia and impending death that made me squirm.

  It's funny, but it's not... funny. Had it been in a purely fictional story, I might not have minded it. But this is a real man's life and a real man's struggles to retain his sense of self.…

  I was worried when the first few lines were something to the effect of "this isn't a love story." But this film really impressed me.

  It's a Queerano de Bergerac story told very effectively. It's not heavy, despite dealing with some heavy subjects. All but two actors are unknown to me, and I can't wait to see what they do next.
