This almost got 3 1/2 stars until Sissy Spacek punches the old lady. Extra half star for that alone.
I do wish Gene Hackman was in this more but what we do get from him is great. As is Lee Marvin.
The story drags a bit for the first half of the film but really picks up after the fairgrounds with some good shootouts.
Netflix and the Russo bros are getting a lot of hate for this and I get it. But here we all are…watching it. As movie lovers…that’s in our nature.
I didn’t love it and I didn’t hate it. The Electric State was an okay movie with an okay story. I wasn’t bored by this at all. The cast is stacked with fantastic actors who all do pretty good jobs for the most part. The music is awesome and the 90s feel, for me, was fun and nostalgic.
Just as bad, poorly written and acted as The Leprechauns Game. Awful makeup and mask again and Jesus they couldn’t hide the fact that they were using a doll as the baby!
A half star on this is generous.
Yeah…this was just plain bad. Poorly written, poor acting, terrible mask that just looked so fake. And could understand a damn thing the leprechaun was saying with the really bad voice changer.
I’ll give it half a star just because of the minimal effort put into making a movie.
Let’s go watch the sequel…
