  Tried torrenting the Spike Lee movie and ended up with this. Pretty good though. Only really has like four minutes of narration which kinda sucks when you’ve got James Earl Jones doing it but whatever. Can’t really go wrong when it’s essentially a compilation of Malcolm’s speeches and interviews.

  Went into this expecting some Matewan or Harlan County U.S.A. story of labor unions without realizing how much of the focus was on the race riots. This is such an essential viewing for any boring “socialist” that wants to avoid parroting that dumb and racist “the only war is class war” narrative. Highlighting the greatness and effectiveness of unions as a compromise between exploitation and seizure of the means of production, while ignoring their roots as an emphasis in protecting…
