I know this isn’t a new take, but the unbridled optimism and spirit of this version of Batman is honestly so calming and encouraging.
I have a lot of thoughts about this one, mainly pertaining to how it really makes a lot of the same mistakes as The Rise of Skywalker, and the “World” trilogy as a whole really suffers from many of the same issues as the Star Wars sequels overall.
That being said, I don’t really want to type any more than that premise out right now, so maybe we’ll revisit this again in the future. You’re not paying me to do this!
Brutal and visceral for a studio film, not backing down to share the darker realities of the source material.
Certain character’s journeys are adjusted to better depict the book series’ overall themes between this and its predecessor. While I can’t say which I prefer, I can confidently report that they are executed fantastically in this film. The depth and impact of these truths is felt in every moment on screen.
Dune: Part Two is beyond a fitting tribute and adaptation…
