If I was driving with my fiance and they said "do we have to listen to this vagina music the whole way?" they would no longer be my fiance. Call it cancel culture if you want, we're having a conversation at LEAST.

Very charming movie that expertly stages the varied dynamics of codependency. The kind of relationships that create this mode of constantly being unsure of expectations and true feelings. The lies that are told to make ourselves and others…

"I used to think...I say I used to think that no second was different from the next..."

Great adaptation of a great Beckett play. Love the performances.

"Is this what we're reduced to? Considering the least worst option?"
    "But the field is narrow"

Very compelling papal thriller. In the recent influx of Catholicism-based dramas, this one ranks as the most succinct and captivating.

I think this by rights should win best picture, as it is succinct and has all of the tools necessary to win. I would love personally if it did, though if it did I would also hope that Sugarcane also win, all things being fair and equal and good.

"You know what I remember? Ghosts."

I was introduced to Colson Whitehead's writing by an online acquaintance many many years ago. I heard about this film when I heard it was nominated for Best Picture.

I really quite loved this film. The first person perspective, the artful shots of space exploration, the archival footage, the archival elements, the sets, the music.

The film raises so many familiar emotions for me. The history of my so-called country, Canada, and the United States can be told by the layers of shallow graves dug to build the foundations of the horrible machine we all live in.
