  Maybe it’s because I went in with such low expectations; or maybe I’m growing to appreciate the ridiculousness with which movie studios bleed horror franchises dry (this is the eleventh Hellraiser film), but I kind of enjoyed it. Mostly it was just really fun to watch. Extreme gore that doesn’t feel like boring torture-porn, fantastical character design, and decent CGI. It‘s not super deep, and the tone, music, story, dialogue are all cliche, but.. that’s kind of what you want from a horror movie IMHO.
