Lancelot of the Lake 1974
Story wise, it wasn’t my favorite (it’s very opaque in what it’s trying to say- need to see it again), but as usual Bresson’s shot selection, direction, and framing are insanely precise.
Some of the best images of a Bresson film in here. The first close ups of the queen, the orange lit tents during the rain, the empty forest. How does this man create such beauty from simple things? I might never know.
