One of the best scripts of the year, very Pinter coded with a a surprisingly light touch by the end.
Well acted too - unfortunately it’s pretty poorly photographed and directed. I like that the directer doesn’t want to be “noticed” but I have a bar of framing and camera composition that they didn’t satisfy. So digital and clean it pains me.

Wow. The first hour is a masterful, simmering mystery and just when you think you know where the film will land, it makes the bold choice to give you another hour. This second hour is a nightmare, dream, kafkaesque (excuse the word) metaphor of who you become after violence? Or who you always were?
If the film had been more typical / less courageous, it would have been ended at an hour and half but it…
