Genuinely have no idea what was wrong with me to rate this so low.
I don’t know why this time I found so much of this movie funny but there’s way more deadpan comedy in this than I remember. The casting of Affleck pretty much becomes more and more perfect as the years go on. I don’t think that poor guy will ever escape his toxic public persona and this movie just full on exploits it!

I’ll say this out the way. It’s an entertaining blockbuster movie which I’ll be watching again. However, compared to other Bong Joon Ho movies it just fell flat. I’m not comparing them to his masterpieces like Parasite and Memories of Murder. It’s much more in line with Snowpiercer or The Host which are the better movies in my opinion.

This movie is simple, but it’s about as perfectly executed as it could be. None of the characters decisions felt like they were moving the plot forward, but truly characters living on screen.

Genuinely terrible. I never feel like my time is wasted at the theaters but this one did it for me. Can’t remember the last time I was sitting in a movie and wishing for it to fucking end.
TC performance does deserve some praise. He pulled off a pretty unlikeable character.
