  Silly fun. Tbh it’s really just a traditional war film, exceptionally well made. The costumes are outlandish, the set design insane, and it’s worth seeing just for the spectacle of it all. That it’s tightly told and great entertainment is a bonus. The sound is incredible, and the Hans Zimmerfest is justified - although it’s worth adding that possibly the best scene sound-wise is the one that’s completely de-Zimmered. Absence is another a form of presence here though, so nicely…
