Really well structured and engaging but some of the dialogue can get a bit preachy imo. The bug angry dinner scene sounds like they're reading word for word statistics from a web site, it comes off as robotic and un natural. Other than that i think it is an important film that everyone should watch.

Tropic Thunder 2008
Didn't like this one as much as I thought I would. It was funny, but some characters lacked that comedic personalty that would carry it through the boring middle chunk. Robert Downey Jr and Tom Cruise were the best parts of the film for sure.

The Thing 2011
For me its impossible to watch this film without comparing it to John Carpenters the thing, especially since its one of my favourite films of all time. The lack of understanding of what makes John Carpenters the thing so perfect is this films biggest downfall. Terrible pacing which leads to no build in tension, bland characters with nothing to root for, and the biggest detriment is the boring, uninspired CGI monster.
