  this is a terrible film but the idea of robert de niro as a soft hearted older man who just keeps adopting people is not and should be replicated as often as possible

  i honestly would have given it five stars alone for the scene in the restaurant where ryuusei appears in front of the two sets of parents and the directors of the hospital and shoots at them with a lobster claw and all the adults go down like dominos but genuinely the way this whole film is crafted deseerves nothing less than five too. everything, every last little piece of the puzzle joins to make it a masterpiece.
