  My first experience of a David Lynch movie!

  Interesting for me as an individual to watch this kind of stuff, as my instinct is often to try to understand things logically than allow them to wash over me. I enjoy the ambiguity of this movie and questions it poses, but I do have to fight the urge to pull at loose threads which don't seem to make sense. I don't think Lynch ever intended it to fully make sense though. Maybe it will gel more with me on a rematch once I've seen more of his work.

  I liked the idea of it being entirely first person and enjoyed the pacing in the early part of the film. It was fun to see the Presence slowly get to know the family just by being a fly on the wall as they live their lives. The supernatural elements were kind of naff though and some of the dialogue was a bit ham-fisted. Feels like a film that relies so heavily on it's concept that everything else is a bit undercooked. Still enjoyed that it tried something different though.
