Entirely tone deff and disconnected from the first title, though hilariously absurd as its own thing. Also has some interesting subtext that I hadn’t previously considered and that I look forward to reading into at some point

Death Proof 2007
I had very low expectations going into this, holding in mind that Death Proof was one of Tarantino’s worst. Suffice to say this proved to be an insanely fun hangout vibe of a film. Death Proof is surprisingly one of the most stylish, technically-cool, and visually striking movies I’ve ever had the pleasure of watching — almost every shot had me smiling.
If you were skeptical about the alleged existence of Tarantino’s foot fetish prior to watching this, well you now have your answer…

While this was an overall-successful sociopolitical satire on the upper class and American politics, it felt scattered and unpolished. Somewhat of a visual feast and packaged with some of Ho’s characteristic goodies, but it still felt rather disconnected from his name. Perhaps this was due to creative freedom restrictions/post editing issues or something, but overall I was left feeling strange with this entry under his name. (Also warning: Unforgivable acts of barbarism are committed against a baby tardigrade whose only crime was frolicking in the lime light of trumpian politicos)):
