Ti West is a talented guy, Pearl and X are both solid movies that play it straight and give the viewer a fun horror adjacent movie experience.
Maxxxine is too cute by half, kitschy, overly referential garbage. Very disappointing. Not a single moment of tension in the film but we did get plenty of fun 80s references (wow remember new Coke?!). Total ass.
Two stars for the beautiful Mia Goth even though we never see her get naked.
