~Opening credits with multiple music switches and a cast of misfits revealed~

    Me (already laughing): “I’m in!”

If you’re down with British humor, you’ll be down with this. I know some friends on this app who aren’t… so leave us (people with good taste) and this review alone!!

Notes: Jaime Lee Curtis… whoa 😳. Kevin Kline character might unfortunately be me. Subplot they immediately send Michael Palin’s character on is top tier “obvious humor”. One liners galore. It all really meant nothing and everyone won - love it.

So fun! With an in-your-face message, it somehow manages to be extremely unique. The subtle moments are where the hilarity lies - side arguments, physical missteps, background reactions… I lol’d a lot.

Also the video game-esque sound (My best description: the conversations ricochet from side to side at different modulations/volumes to make you feel like you’re really there with them. Like 3D for your ears?) is super satisfying.

Very cool looking, but ultimately the fairytale-esque stuff is not my bag… even in a “horror” setting. Can’t help but find it silly at times. I feel very similarly about this as I did about The Green Knight from a few years prior. Certain fantasy people (horny ones) will love this, I’m sure. The visual attention to detail is incredible, as has come to be expected with Eggers.

If, beforehand, you watched the clip of Mark talking about getting wasted off peppermint schnapps and trying to call Morocco at 2am, and thought you’d be in for a laugh with this documentary… you are… but you’re also in for something much deeper.

Surrounded by some of the most supportive and patient friends and family you could ever imagine, Mark chases his dream of being a filmmaker… but more importantly (to him)… of NOT being a nobody.

    You’ll be nostalgic…
