In a Violent Nature 2024
A slasher film where we are a fly behind the killer the whole time.
I liked that we didn't really know why the killing was happening, and since we are the killer we see him move in real time and come up with gruesome kills with the environment around him.
The sound design is excellent, and we learn of the story only through tangential conversations that we happen upon which was an effective tactic.

Another horror comedy that does not fit together all too much for me.
I think I am in the minority with this one. I laughed out loud at moments, but overall the jokes were too easy and too shoe-horned in some parts. I liked most of the kills, but the story was very lack luster. Most of the enjoyment is in the bat-shit kills, and moments of gallows-humor. Some of the humor is stoner early 2000s movie, so it feels a bit tired.
Surprised by the cameos!
Also, I actually really liked the father/son dynamic and wanted more of them together.
