Loved. Watched on a plane surrounded by a bunch of Americans flying home after Christmas and it felt right. There’s no December without grief! The accents and the style were warm and comforting and I’ll watch this every year 🩷

Ah man all the possibilities of fact/fiction/memory/perspective when we look at our relationships with our parents and our past!
playing pool together, losing expensive souvenirs, money guilt, karaoke competitions… maybe all scottish kids have the same lives. I do und this movie so emotional, all of it giving a glimpse into my similar holidays with my dad and making me consider some of his struggles with his mental health that I only learned about after his passing - the ending was especially meaningful to me.
Still thinking about it days later, I guess I’ll need to rewatch
