I feel like someone’s enjoyment in this film lies exclusively towards whether they find it funny or not. I for one, found it pretty funny.
Didn’t audibly laugh out loud or anything, but I had a pretty consistent level of light chuckles throughout. And it’s hard not to enjoy Theo James going off like this.
I thought the horse was going to drive Martin Short off a cliff for the greater good, but I was wrong.
I don’t think I’ve ever been this uncomfortable watching a comic book movie. I’ve never been a fan of these New 52 animated movies, but this film concludes this animated movie universe at a point somehow below rock bottom. Every attempt at humor is juvenile. Every attempt at making you care about all of these undeveloped characters by having them be horrifically mutilated right in front of you, does nothing but make me uncomfortable. I don’t care that these characters are dying in front of me, I’m instead thinking “what is wrong with the people that made this?”
