I love the Alien series dearly, and am on my second watch through the whole series and I find Prometheus a bit lacking. Of course the movie has its creepy sci-fi moments, but some of the characters are kind of random and lackluster compared to the other films. The captain and the lieutenant’s affair for one, is a one-time thing that never gets mentioned again which confused me a bit.
That being said I love Ridley Scott, and I was glad that he returned to the series again after Aliens.
