Probably one of the most visually beautiful Sci fi films I've ever seen. Managing to create a film that's 3 hours long, not feel like it's 3 hours long is a skill in itself too, I was hooked throughout. The costumes where gorgeous, the cinematography was stunning and the performances from actors and actresses where moving, suspenseful and sufficiently creepy in some places (not a read,, the harkonens needed to be) and I'm now slightly scared of Austin Butler.

I don't think we can ever return to this kind of peak cinema.
I was barely conscious when this film debuted. I think my first time watching it and enjoying it was probably about 10 years after its release? It instantly became my favourite film! Which I think proves how timeless and brilliant these films actually are. To further testify this, 10 years later, they're still excellent now.
