The cynical side of me thinks the marketing around this film celebrating its “epic” quality (in run time and scale and film stock) was kind of a gimmick and not really accurate. And whenever they were outside in daylight (frequently) the vista vision color lingering was distracting and just reminded me of my family’s early 80s home movies shot on VHS. The big turn that happens in Italy felt heavy handed.
